Versatile for various applications
The Motic BA-300Pol polarizing microscope is suited to tertiary education and many other research applications in Life Science, Geology, Earth Science, Material Science & Forensics. Available in Siedentopf Binocular and Trinocular versions, this microscope offers superb performance and flexibility in system expansion that can be applied to thin section petrography and mineralogical samples.

Built in Bertrand lens for conoscopic observation and precise mechanical movement
Positioned between microscope stand and the eyepiece tube, the intermediate tube has a slider type analyzer with a large rotation control dial for easy adjustment and accurate reading through rotations of 360°. The built-in focusable and centerable Bertrand lens allows conoscopic observation. The built-in depolarizer remains in the optical path when the analyzer is removed. The intermediate tube is also provided with a (20mm x 6 mm) DIN compliant compensator slot. The 360° rotatable and pre-centered stage provided stability and accuracy with the precise ball bearing movement with 1° increment movement.

Strain free objectives for polarized microscopy
To meet changing demands of different applications for a polarizing microscope, a unique CCIS (Colour Corrected Infinity System) Strain free objectives are employed to give crisp and clear image with high contrast and minimal flare.

The BA300Pol utilizes the 6v/30w Quartz Halogen Koehler illuminator for bright and even illumination.

Various compensators are available for determination of the character of birefringence and for measuring phase differences.
