What others say about Australian Instrument Services
Bannockburn Primary School has implemented Digital Microscopes into our classrooms to engage students and enhance the learning opportunities we can provide.
Digital microscopes are imperative in our Science program, but are also used to stimulate and challenge children in English, Maths, Health, Communication, ICT and Thinking.
Students thoroughly enjoy thinking and working as scientists and the microscopes open up an exciting world to explore. All children are naturally curious and through digital microscopy can explore the unknown and challenge the known.
We use Australian Instrument Services’ Motic microscopes. They are the most effective and the best microscopes on the education market. As real digital and optical microscopes, with easy to use software, students get to use the best.

Bayswater South Primary School has installed a number of Digital Microscopes in our Science Class.
We have found the microscopes have been excellent in creating an atmosphere of excitement within our Science Class, the provided software has been easy to use and the microscopes have been trouble-free.
The Digital Microscopy has really stimulated our children. They can share the images that are created and it has challenged them into making excursions into the unknown. We have also found that it has assisted them in their literary skills as we teach all science in the German language and the children have been able to extend their skills in science.
Our school would like to be able to purchase more Motic Microscopes when we have the funds available. Australian Instrument Services have provided excellent support and we have found the Motic Digital Microscopes have been an excellent investment.

As a primary teacher at Mount Eliza Primary School with a science background, I am very excited about the use of microscopes at a primary level. I currently teach Multiage (P-2) class and have been using a Motic Biological, Dissection Microscope and a Gooseneck Camera for about 6 months.
The microscopes have added another dimension to our classroom research. They were particularly useful during our ‘Minibeasts’ unit of inquiry. We were able to view pre-prepared slides of insect body parts using the biological microscope and whole insects (both living and dead) with the dissection microscope. The students were able to get a really good understanding of minibeast anatomy and movement. I have also used the microscopes as a learning centre activity during literacy groups. It was particularly useful to the students studying the book Using a Microscope.
I also find that students have a much better understanding of any microscope images they come across in books.
I highly recommend the use of microscopes in primary schools. It has developed a love of science and an inquiring attitude in the students in my class. I feel that early exposure to quality microscopes such as Motic will inspire the next generation of scientists……and who knows what they will discover!
